More Saturday pics

Easter Egg Hunts

We had a whirlwind Saturday. It went by so fast but was so much fun! We started out the day at our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Which after days of magnificent weather we woke up to rain.:( It only put a little damper on things, we still got to meet the Easter bunny, make a build a bear bunny, go on a train ride and hunt for eggs. The only thing that we didn't get to do was enjoy the inflatables. After this Betsey had practice for Alice and Wonderland and then we headed out to Peggy and Jerry's for another Easter Egg Hunt. The girls had so much fun playign with their cousins. They were both out of it before we even made it off of Peggy and Jerry's road! Love days like this especially since the sun came out and it was a beautiful afternoon.

Just a Couple of Pics

On our way to their Easter Egg Hunt at school and Ellasyn was having her Easter party.
The best I could get of the two of them together
She loves to strike a pose! :) I realize my bunny might not be the best color up against my red front door but I promise it does have dark pinky red polka dots on it. Plus I was a sucker for the amazing bow on it. I will be sad to take it down this week.

Yes, folks she is posing next to an elephant that makes it's home on our front porch. His name is Big Al as in the mascot for the University of Alabama. What can I say other than "Roll Tide!" We think he is pretty fabulous and our Auburn neighbors are secretly jealous.........

A Donkey at Church

Evidently, there is a tradition at our church that we have not known about, the Donkey who pays a visit on Palm Sunday. When we lived in Missouri we usually only made it home for Easter and not Palm Sunday and sometimes we did not even make it home at all and spent Easter all by ourselves so we have never experienced Palm Sunday at our Church with children until this year.
Well this family who has donkeys and other farm animals brings in their donkey for the children to see what Jesus rode. Betsey was sooo excited because they made palms in her Sunday School class and got to wave them at the donkey. All day she was waving that palm yelling out "Hosana, Hosana, Hosana" so sweet. It touches my heart to see her little heart grow and want to know more about Jesus. Even Ellasyn's class went out to see the donkey and she proudly told us that he lived in the farm house i.e. barn that was on her dress!
Betsey added this cowgirl hat on her own, she finished getting dressed and said "wait I will be right back" and showed up with it on her head. I guess it really was quite fitting for visiting with a donkey and all! I so had no idea about the donkey, promise! I know I like to coordinate them for the occasion but this was just a total fluke!

It's Friday but Sunday is a coming! Enjoy this weekend with your family and remember like Betsey told me today "Jesus loves us so much that he died on the cross for us but he is going to come back alive on Easter day!" Out of the mouths babes......

A new month

Old pics of Ellasyn's "baby cakes" Birthday cake she wanted purple ladybugs, her initials, and "3" on the them. Betsey picked out this cake all by herself complete with what color polka dots she wanted.

This month I am going to try and do a post or at least a picture everyday! I realized that I am a little camera happy the other night when I was uploading pictures and realized that I had taken over 3000 pictures since January!!! Imagine if I was using film......WOW! So I want to at least do something with some of the pictures that I take as Betsey and Ellasyn's papparazzi!!!

I am not saying that these are all great pictures and I have a feeling Betsey and Ellasyn are responsible for at least 100 or so of the pictures.

We shall see if I am able to do this but I am going to try!
