Oyster House

So usually on Sundays when we are at the beach we go over to Point Clear and have Brunch at The Grand Hotel. This has become quite the tradition in our family. I don't know who likes it more us or the kids! Unfortunately, we didn't get to go today so instead we went to our other favorite, The Original Oyster House. I want you to know that not only did we walk right in and get seated, we even got to park in the first row of parking!!!! For those of you that know about the Oyster House then you know that this is INSANE!!! We have waited for over two hours before to eat here....yes, I said TWO hours! It is so worth it though! I got my fix of YUMMY gumbo tonight. Betsey however had only one thing on her mind...a treat. Once she knew where we were going she just had to bring her Coach "pursie" with her. We didn't think much of it until we got there and she wanted to show me something.....the child just does not forget ANYTHING! She remembered from last time that they had the little quarter candy machines out in front of the bathrooms. She told me "See Momma I brought my money with me so I can get a treat even if you don't have your money!" I guess she outsmarted us on this one because I always tell her I don't have any change for those machines. She wasn't going to leave it up to us she took matters into her own hands and after dinner she got her and Ellasyn a treat!

Another day at the beach

Ring around the rosey....if I heard that once today then I heard it a hundred times! Betsey and Ellasyn were kind of bored today while we were at the new condo meeting with Miss Patty about furniture. This was there favorite thing to do and it really was so sweet to see watch them walk around in circles holding hands. Ellasyn likes the "affes, affes fall down" part the best! Another favorite today was using the tape we had laid down to measure out different pieces of furniture as a balance beam. Look out Olympics, here we come! It is so fun to watch them together because Ellasyn wants to do everything that Betsey does and she wants Betsey to see her do it. I have a feeling we have a little class clown on our hands. Their personalities are so different but so much a like. I hope that they both continue to have the sweet little spirit that they have now.

11-0 Roll Tide Roll

Since Rusty is now working in Tuscaloosa and on the University of Alabama campus our whole family has gotten into Alabama football a little bit more. We were always fans but it was a little bit harder to be "true" fans living all the way up in Missouri Tiger Country. It was a thorn in her Daddy's side when Rusty would say "Roll Tide" to Betsey she would reply "Go Tigers!" Not what he really wanted to hear!

Rusty and I have had the opportunity to go to most of the home games! We have had so much fun. Thanks Gigi for watching the girls for us. It has really been a GREAT season. I hope they can just keep on going! Rusty has become quite superstitious and has to wear his crimson Nick Saban shirt every Saturday he says they haven't lost while he has been wearing it! The girls also like to wear their too cute Roll Tide outfits. Thanks Nana!

The Girl just LOVES her BLING

This weekend has been a little bit hectic....we have spent a lot of time at Posh the furniture store trying to get the new condo furnished. Well last night Ellasyn as usual had her BLING bracelet on when we went into the store (mind you she has worn this bracelet just about everyday for at least the last 8 months) well when it came time to leave it just could not be found. Miss Patty and I searched all over that store and didn't find it anywhere. I was really bummed that we had lost her bracelet that she had done so well with. Well I want you to know that we had to go back today to Posh and guess what little Miss Priss found all on her own.....Her BLING bracelet!!! We were all so surprised. I don't know if she just happened across it or if she knew where it was all along and just went and picked it up. I could not believe it when she walked over and showed it to me on her arm. Sweet Miss Patty said she had even looked around again after we left and didn't see it! I still just can't believe it but boy am I glad because the girl LOVES her BLING!!!

hmmmm I wonder who she gets that from! :)

Lovin' the Beach

We love the beach! We love the beach any time of the year and this weekend has been no exception. Sometimes it is hard for me to believe that it is really November the weather has been that wonderful! We are hanging out down at the condo and even got in the water. Granted it was much chillier than usual but that didn't stop Betsey from jumping the waves! We also went for a long walk that tired Miss Ellasyn out and she needed to be carried by Daddy. Betsey and I had lots of fun looking for shells.

Driving in the car

So yesterday we were driving back from Missouri to Alabama and after you know about 8 hours in the car random things start becoming funny! Well Miss Betsey started asking her Daddy some questions about his hunting trip. The conversation went something like this "Daddy why did you go and shoot those birds in South Dakota?" Rusty's reply "Well it was fun and some people like to eat pheasant" B says"Well I sure don't like to eat those birds they have eyes and I don't want to eat their eyes. Aren't they going to be old you can't eat birds when they are old or when they still have their feathers on them. If you put them in the freezer though they won't be old right, Daddy!"
Nothing like a 3 year old telling you how to put away your pheasants!

Campaigning in Virginia

So I forgot to mention one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Virginia...CAMPAIGNING! I know we do not live in this state but Shelley signed us up to go campaigning on election day! I will say we had a really good time.....Betsey thought that it was just too fun!
I will say that I am really glad that we did it and I want to remember how much I enjoyed it for when the next election comes around. Sara P. and Shelley we made a good team!

Missour-ah

We have been having a good time despite the COLD in Missouri! We got here on Saturday in time to watch Alabama beat LSU!!! Whoo-hoo! While we were here Taylor and her boyfriend Patrick were up to visit AA and Steve-O so we got to see them before they went to the MIZZOU game. I think that it confused Betsey that TayTay was up in Missouri and not in Alabama where we usually see her.
Steve-O is making BIG points with Ellasyn these days and Betsey Bug is getting jealous! Ellasyn usually doesn't have anything to do with him but this time she was all about getting some Steve-O tickles....:)
Today we went to Chuck E. Cheese with AA and Baby Lucas (he is only 3 months younger than Ellasyn). Ellasyn is like a little mama to Lucas. She likes to hold his hand and walk with him and "tell" him what they are going to do.

Whirlwind Week

This week has been a whirlwind for us!!!! The girls and I went to Virginia to visit with some of the Ya-Ya's and Rusty went to South Dakota for a pheasant hunting trip. We all had a great time! The girls and I had so much fun up in Virginia with Shelley, Christopher, Addie TayTay and Sara, Blake and Grayson. Brendan and Billy we had fun with y'all too! It is so funny how all of the kids react to each other. All of us Ya-Ya's can pick up right where we left off even if it has been FOR-EVER since we have seen each other and our kids are all starting to do the same thing! They all seem to have a LOVE/HATE relationship with one another. They can be so sweet to one another and then a split second later they are going at it gangbusters.

While we were there Shelley did a photoshoot with the girls (see above pics) and they all turned out so stinkin' cute....
After leaving Virginia, we were in Alabama for 2 days so the girls could go to 'school' and then headed back up to Missouri. Where Betsey promptly stated "It is not this cold in Alabama, right Momma" I had to agree with her. In just the short time that we have been living in Alabama we have forgotten what it is like to be in Missouri while it is "brrrrr chilly"

Well here goes!!! I am starting a blog.....

There is really no telling how this whole blogging thing will turn out! I figure it is worth a shot though because there is just no way that I am going to become a scrapbooker and I want to have some way to have memories of the kid's growing up.
I am calling this blog "The Sutterlin Circus" because that is what it feels like our life is right now a CIRCUS! :)

Right now we have two PRECIOUS little girls Betsey is 3 1/2 going on 33 1/2 and Ellasyn is 1 1/2. They are both at such a fun age right now and it is so hard to believe how fast they are growing up.
